León vs Cruz Azul (GIBBI’s Editorial Staff)
Tonight at 20:35 CT on León Stadium (León, Guanajuato)
León: 16th place with 4 points (0 win, 4 ties, 2 losses)
Cruz Azul: 1st place with 16 points (5 wins, 1 tie, 0 loss
GIBBI View: Cruz Azul is in first place and it’s the team that is playing the best football until the moment but the lack of goal is the big problem of the team; León haven’t won any game in the tournament and they signed a new head coach; My Prediction: It’s always difficult to go to play against León but I think that Cruz Azul is the best team of the tournament in this moment, so I think that Cruz Azul will win it by 1 goal
The UFC Is Speding 10X More Than Normal On Its Event At Las Vegas Sphere (Huddle Up)
UFC 306 will officially be the MMA organization’s most expensive event ever. The project initially included a budget of $8 million, but the UFC blew through that estimate months ago, and the final bill will be around $20 million
But the truth is that the UFC will still make money on this event. The cheapest ticket on TickPick is listed at more than $800, with floor seats selling for $2,500 to $34,000+
The UFC also secured a sponsorship from Saudi Arabia. As part of the country’s state-funded entertainment and sports festival, Riyadh Season, Saudi Arabia will receive several sponsorship assets
GIBBI View: MGM prefered to have a boxing match (Canelo Álvarez vs Edgar Berianga) than an UFC event in Mexican Independence Day, because it’s more important a Canelo’s fight that any UFC match; so you can see that Canelo is an athlete that generates a lot of attention and money, and for that reason I’m going to watch Canelos’ fight tonight (Canelo wins by unanimous decision)
NASA Confirms It’s Developing The Moon’s New Time Zone (Engadget)
NASA confirmed on Friday that it’s developing a new lunar time system for the Moon. The White House published a policy memo in April, directing NASA to create the new standard by 2026
The time standard will be determined by a weighted average of atomic clocks on the Moon, although their locations are still up for debate
NASA plans to send crewed missions back to the Moon through its Artemis program. Artemis 2, scheduled for September 2025, plans to send four people on a pass around the Moon
GIBBI View: This is interesting because it looks that NASA will allow trip to the moon in the near future, and seeing that SpaceX is making commercial trips to the space I don’t doubt that in 3 to 5 years SpaceX will make commercial trips to moon, so seeing that Space Companies are the future I think that one big idea would be to create a Space Startup or create a VC Fund to invest in Space Startups
Mattel Gives CEO Ynon Kreiz A $15M Stock Retention Grant (The Hollywood Reporter)
Mattel has issued a special $15 million stock grant to CEO Ynon Kreiz, citing his success in film and TV as a driving factor
Mattel, of course, was behind one of last year’s blockbuster hits with the Barbie movie. The company is also working with Paramount on an American Girl film, and with Universal on a Monsters High film
The grant has a target value of $15 million, though whether he will receive the shares will receive will depend on performance factors, including Mattel’s share price and total stockholder return
GIBBI View: When I graduated from University my goal was to enter to a company and work so hard to become the CEO of the company one day and to be pay in million dollars and become rich; but seeing that is very difficult and so long to achieve that goal, now my goal is to create my startup/company where I can create value to million of people and in the same time I can become the CEO and rich, I’m working in that
Waymo Robotaxis To Become Available On Uber In Austin, Atlanta In Early 2025 (Tech Crunch)
Uber users in Austin and Atlanta will be able to hail Waymo robotaxis through the app in early 2025 as part of an expanded partnership between the two companies
Waymo runs its own autonomous ride-hailing service, Waymo One, in San Francisco, Phoenix, and Los Angeles, and provides around 100,000 trips per week, according to the company
Waymo said a limited number of users will be able to access rides in Austin and Atlanta via the Waymo One app in the coming weeks.
GIBBI View: Waymo has been provided its robotaxis to Uber App in Los Angeles, San Francisco & Phoenix since last year, so this movement looks is working for Waymo and I think that maybe in 2 years we’ll see more Waymo robotaxis in the biggest cities of the world; Remember that I applied to YC with my idea CarShare App, but seeing this news I think that maybe my idea will be obsoleted if Wayno robotaxis can be implemented around the world
