UEFA Champions League: Quarterfinals - Second Leg (GIBBI’s Editorial Staff)
Dortmund vs Atlético Madrid (Atlético lead 2-1 the series)
Barcelona vs PSG (Barcelona lead 3-2 the series)
Bayern vs Arsenal (The series is tied 2-2)
Manchester City vs Real Madrid (The series is tied 3-3)
GIBBI View: This week will be played defined the 4 teams that will qualify to semifinals, and the four series are closed and any team can win it; Atlético Madrid win by 1+ goal and qualify to semifinals; Barcelona win by 1 goal and qualify to semifinals; Bayern win by 2 goals and qualify to semifinals; Manchester City win by 1 goal and qualify to semifinals
NBA Play-In: Pelicans vs Lakers (GIBBI’s Editorial Staff)
Tonight at 19:30 ET on New Orleans Arena (New Orleans, Louisiana)
Lakers: 47-35 record, 8th place in Western Conference
Pelicans: 49-33 record, 7th place in Western Conference
This Series: 4-1 against Pelicans (NBA In-Season: Lakers 133-89 Pelicans, Pelicans 129-109 Lakers, Lakers 139-122 Pelicans, Pelicans 108-124 Lakers)
GIBBI View: Lakers won 3 more games this year but it wasn’t enough to qualify to playoffs, and Lakers have dominated the series winning 4 games by 10+ points; Pelicans played bad basketball in the last 2 months where in february were in 5th place and fell to 7th place; My Prediction: This game will be closer and tougher than the 5 games that played in the season, but I think that Lakers are playing better basketball and have better players than Pelicans, so Lakers will win by 3 points and will qualify to playoffs
Stubhub Will Make An IPO This Summer (NASDAQ)
Stubhub is looking to the summer to float the idea of an initial public offering (IPO) to the tune of $16.5bn
The digital ticketing service has been working with banking heavyweights JPMorgan and Goldman Sachs for the past two years
Digital and online ticket sales have seen constant growth over the past decade. This is down to apps and online services becoming more accessible and portable to gain entry into music and sporting events
GIBBI View: After COVID-19 Pandemic, People decided to get out, enjoy and participate in as many events as possible and this benefitted the ticketing services; the only problem is that the ticketing service isn’t the best as people/fans wanted because in many country, especially México, ticketing services have sold more tickets than seats, have stolen money from fans and other problems that have affected the fans, so these kind of problems have to be fixed to offer the best service to customes/fans
Elon Musk Plans To Charge New X Users To Enable Posting (Tech Crunch)
Elon Musk is planning to charge new X users a small fee to enable posting on the social network and to curb the bot problem
In reply to an X account that posted about changes on X’s website, Musk said charging a small fee to new accounts was the “only way” to stop the “onslaught of bots”
Earlier this month, X said that the platform was starting a major purge of spam accounts, warning users that their follower count might be affected
GIBBI View: X is full of bots that show you just porn content in any post you read or write and this is bad because you’re looking for some info (about sports, businesses, finances, etc) and the response is porn content, and I don’t know who X is gonna to fix it; Elon can say that X is charging a small fee to attack bot problem but the reality is that X isn’t profitable in this moment and it’s looking for to generate money with other options
You Need This Practice In Your Life (Ryan Holiday)
Having a physical practice is essential to the creative life. Not just because it gets you up and out of a chair. Not just because it’s good to stay in shape. But because when the body is in motion, the mind can really get to work
It doesn’t matter what you do. It doesn’t matter where you live. You need to cultivate a physical practice. Because it centers you. Because it challenges you. Because it’s hard. Because it’s a form of rest. Because it makes you better
If greatness is our aim, if we want to be productive, if we want to be capable of enduring the affairs of life, we need to take care of our bodies. We need to be strong and sturdy. We need to keep a physical practice so that it keeps us
GIBBI View: I agree with the author of this article because when you do a physical practice this makes you to relax and think better after you finish your workout, because as personal experience when I do exercise and after finish it, I start to work better and to be more creative
