However, the message also suggests that this may only be a temporary disappearance, crediting President-elect Donald Trump for indicating “he will work with us on a solution to reinstate TikTok once he takes office,” with users urged to “stay tuned!”
GIBBI View: TikTok US was officially shut down yesterday on night, where I wrote yesterday that I think that Donald Trump, will become President of US tomorrow, will create a law that will allow TikTok to keep working in US for 1 year while it could be sold, but the big question is why no one in US could create another social media app that could replace TikTok in last year?

With a TikTok ban looming in the United States, Perplexity AI is the latest bidder hoping to give the video app a new corporate home. A source with knowledge of the offer confirmed to TechCrunch that Perplexity has submitted a bid to merge with TikTok US
The source also confirmed other details about the bid — that it would create a new entity combining Perplexity, TikTok US, and new equity partners; that most investors in TikTok’s parent company ByteDance would be able to retain their equity
Despite a number of buyers expressing interest in TikTok, ByteDance has said repeatedly that it does not intend to sell
GIBBI View: TikTok has a $300 billion valuation and Perplexity has a $10 billion valuation, so Perplexity will have to get in debt or raise another funding round to get the enough money to buy TikTok, but the question os if ByteDance will sell Tiktok and its algorithm?, let’s see
