OpenAI Inks Deal With European Publishers (BNN Bloomberg)
OpenAI has inked licensing deals with two major European publishers, French paper Le Monde and Spanish media conglomerate Promotora de Informaciones SA, or Prisa
The agreements, announced in a blog post Wednesday, are the latest expansion of OpenAI’s efforts to cut deals with media companies rather than battle them over how the company uses news articles and other content in its AI tools
OpenAI has made significant inroads with the industry. The startup made a multiyear content licensing deal with Axel Springer in December for tens of millions of euros. The company has been in talks to make similar deals with publishers including CNN, Fox Corp. and Time to license news content
GIBBI View: This will be a new way to generate money from Media Companies where your company can license or sell your data/content to AI Companies, and this is a win-win (media companies generate revenues and AI companies learn from your content/data)
SpaceX Successfully Launches Startship In 3rd Flight Test (The Verge)
This test launch was more successful than its two predecessors, having completed several planned maneuvers and remained in one piece until contact with the Starship spacecraft was lost shortly before its anticipated splashdown in the Indian Ocean
It completed the hot-staging separation from its Super Heavy booster and opened a payload door intended to demonstrate how it could be used for missions like delivering Starlink satellites into orbit
The Starship skipped a planned attempt to relight its Raptor engines in space and was scheduled to splash down in the Indian Ocean about an hour after takeoff
GIBBI View: I think that humans will dwell moon before move on to another planets like Mars, because the resources (money, equipment, training, etc) and money needed to create life in another planet are expensive and We don’t have most of the resources yet, but We’re closer than ever to conquer our solar’s system
Apple Vision Pro To Launch In 9 Countries (MacRumors)
Apple will soon add 12 new languages to the virtual keyboard on the Vision Pro, based on code. Right now, the Apple Vision Pro keyboard only supports English (US) and Emoji, which makes sense as it is limited to the United States
To bring the Vision Pro to new countries, Apple needs to add support for additional languages. The code indicates the following languages will be added:
Cantonese, Traditional
Chinese, Simplified
English (Australia, Canada, Japan, Singapore, UK)
French (Canada, France)
German (Germany)
Japanese
Korean
It's likely that these language additions hint at the countries where Apple will launch the Vision Pro next, including Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, and the UK. Hong Kong and Taiwan are also potential candidates
GIBBI View: I don’t understand why Apple didn’t consider to create code to spanish languague (México, Spanish, Latin America) as priority as these countries, where just in US (Hispanics) and México there’s a lot of Apple lovers that buy any product that Apple sell
MicroStrategy Raising $500M To Buy Bitcoin (CoinDesk)
MicroStrategy (MSTR) Wednesday afternoon filed to raise $500 million in a convertible debt offering, with intentions to use the proceeds to purchase more bitcoin (BTC)
The company only days ago closed on an $800 convertible debt raise (upsized from an originally planned $600 million), with those proceeds plus some dollars already in the bank used to acquire another 12,000 bitcoin for $821.7 million
Following that buy, MicroStrategy's stack stood at 205,000 bitcoins, now worth just shy of $15 billion
GIBBI View: In the moment I’m creating this newsletter, Bitcoin price is $71.25K, I think that Bitcoin is gonna to increase to around $80K and later will drop; In my opinion, Bitcoin price has been increasing because the fear that FED is gonna to increase the interest rates and that inflation is increasing
