GIBBI View: In my cellphone I have installed whatsapp and telegram, where I use more whatsapp because it’s where I have all my contact and it’s where I have all my communication, and in telegram I used it to watch memes
Can We Mine Bitcoin In Space With Solar Panels? (Pomp Letter)
The Department of Government Efficiency creates the largest orbital solar farm in space and attaches bitcoin miners to it. This can work because bitcoin mining is location agnostic
Bitcoin miners attached to this orbital solar farm in space, with satellite internet via Starlink, we can monetize this stranded solar energy into Bitcoin and send that Bitcoin back to Earth
The idea is to create revenue via bitcoin mining with orbital solar power in space without having to sacrifice landmasses on earth that can be utilized for better things
GIBBI View: Interesting idea, let’s see if the future this idea could be implemented and it could benefit humanity; talking about big ideas, remember that I’ve 6 BIG IDEAS that I’m planning make a reality and become a startup (minimum one) and become rich; this ideas are: GIBBI Radio Song Switch App, GIBBI SuperApp, GIBBI Car Rental App, GIBBI Car Accident Reporting App, GIBBI Carshare, GIBBI Speak
Inside Netflix’s $150M Bet On Christmas Day NFL Games (Huddle Up)
Netflix has acquired the exclusive rights to two Christmas Day games this season as part of a three-year deal with the NFL. The world’s largest streaming company is paying $150 million for these games, similar to what it would spend on a mid-tier movie
Netflix’s first NFL broadcast will begin at 1 p.m. Eastern Time when the Pittsburgh Steelers host the Kansas City Chiefs. The Baltimore Ravens will then travel to Houston to play the Texans for an afternoon kickoff starting at 4:30 p.m
But paying up for premium events like Christmas Day NFL games is perfect because they will generate tens of millions of viewers and already have advertising built into the viewing experience, allowing Netflix to show commercials to both ad-supported and regular subscription members
GIBBI View: NFL will “defeat” NBA easily on Christmas Day, because in this moment any other sport can compete NFL in this time of the season; I predict that both games will “break” records where I think that each game (especially first one) will reach 30 million viewers and it’ll increase to more than 30 million in halftime with Beyonce’s show
Shohei Ohtani Wins 3rd AP Male Athlete Of The Year Award (AP)
The Japanese superstar caps 2024 by winning The Associated Press Male Athlete of the Year for the third time, tying him with basketball great Michael Jordan. He trails only four-time winners Lance Armstrong, Tiger Woods and LeBron James
In balloting by 74 sports journalists from the AP and its members, Ohtani received 48 votes. He previously won the award in 2023 and 2021, when he was with the Angels
Ohtani won his third Most Valuable Player award and first in the National League, led his new team to its eighth World Series championship and created Major League Baseball’s 50/50 club by hitting 54 home runs and stealing 59 bases
GIBBI View: Shohei Ohtani had a tremendous regular season where made history and led the Dodgers to reach World Series and won it, Ohtani didn’t have a great performance in World Series but thanks to him Dodgers could reach that stage and he received support of his teammates to win World Series; Dodgers are the team to beat next season, and teams like Yankees, Mets and Phillies are building tremendous teams to compete and defeat Dodgers
News Corp. & Telstra Agree To Sell Foxtel To DAZN In $2.1B Deal (The Hollywood Reporter)
News Corp. and Australian telecom film Telstra have struck a deal to sell Aussie media company Foxtel Group to sports streaming platform DAZN in a deal worth about $2.1 billion
Foxtel’s current debt will be refinanced at closing and transfer with Foxtel, and News Corp. will hold a minority equity interest in DAZN of about 6 percent as well as one seat on its board of directors
DAZN says it has 300 million viewers across 200 markets and streams more than 90,000 live events every year. It plans to pursue new markets and add more sports to its programming mix, which already includes European football, women’s football, boxing and MMA and the NFL internationally
GIBBI View: Well, it looks that now streaming platforms are becoming more powerful than traditional media companies, and this is because people prefer to pay for a streaming service that for cable or traditional tv
