GIBBI View: Sabalenka is looking for to win her first Roland Garros trophy and her 4th Grand Slam trophy (2 Australian Open, 1 U.S. Open); Gauff is the reigning champion of the tournament, and wants to win its second Roland Garros and Grand Slam title
Knicks Will Ask Mavs For Permission To Interview Jason Kidd (CBS Sports)
Two coaches quickly moved to the top of the Knicks' public wish list. The Rockets' Ime Udoka and Mavericks' Jason Kidd are reportedly highly coveted by the Knicks, but they would need permission to interview
Marc Stein, who has deep ties in Dallas, reported Friday that the Knicks plan to make a formal request to interview Kidd "in the coming days."
If the that ends up being the case, it would be the second time Kidd has been traded as a coach, as the Bucks sent second round picks to Brooklyn in 2014 to bring Kidd in after his first season as a coach
GIBBI View: Remember that Knicks fired Tom Thibodeau last tuesday when this was a surprise because Knicks reached Eastern Conference Finals for first time in 25 years, so now I don’t understand why they want to hire Jason Kidd as head coach when Kidd only could lead Mavs to play-in tournament this season, where I think that Kidd isn’t the best coach to lead Knicks to championship next season
Wing & Walmart Are Bringing Drone Delivery To 100 New Stores (The Verge)
Wing and Walmart are expanding their delivery partnership to five new cities in the US, the companies announced today. Customers who shop at Walmart stores in Atlanta, Charlotte, Houston, Orlando, and Tampa will soon have the ability to request a drone deliver their online shopping orders
Walmart and Wing currently offer drone delivery at approximately 15 stores in northwest Arkansas and Dallas-Fort Worth. Today’s announcement will bring an additional 100 stores into the fold
Walmart has been working with a number of drone operators, but it seems to be most happy with its partnership with Wing. Since launching drone delivery in 2021, Walmart says it has completed more than 150,000 deliveries — sometimes within 30 minutes of the order being placed
GIBBI View: Relating to this news, yesterday I wrote about that Amazon is training humanoid robots to delivery packages, so we’re seeing that Walmart and Amazon are using different ways to delivery packages in the fastest and best way possible customers to get more customers and increase their revenues
United Partners With Spotify To Add Streaming Audio To Seatback Screens (CNBC)
United Airlines passengers will be able to listen to curated Spotify playlists, audiobooks and video podcasts directly from their seatback screens, starting this week
This is a first for Spotify, which has never offered its video and audiobook features on an airplane platform, United said in a press release
United said next year, passengers will be able to use their personal devices to log into the Spotify app on the inflight entertainment screen
