College Football Quaterfinals - Scores (GIBBI’s Editorial Staff)

Texas defeated Arizona State in 2OT 39-31 on Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl (wednesday)
Ohio State defeated Oregon 41-21 on Rose Bowl (wednesday)
Notre Dame defeated Georgia 23-10 on Allstate Sugar Bowl (yesterday)
GIBBI View: The Semfinals are #7 Notre Dame vs #6 Penn State on Capital One Orange Bowl, and #8 Ohio State vs #5 Texas on Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic; the quaterfinals games were very bored because the only game that was closed and exciting was Texas vs Arizona State, and the 4 teams that didn’t play first round were eliminated
Antropic To Enforce Copyright Guardrials On AI Tools (The Hollywood Reporter)
A trio of major music publishers suing Anthropic over the use of lyrics to train its AI system have reached a deal with the Amazon-backed company to resolve some parts of a pending preliminary injunction
U.S. District Judge Eumi Lee on Thursday signed off on an agreement between the two sides mandating Anthropic to maintain existing guardrails that prevent its Claude AI chatbot from providing lyrics to songs owned by the publishers or create new song lyrics based on the copyrighted material
Universal Music Group, Concord Music Group and ABKCO, among other publishers, sued Anthropic in Tennessee federal court in 2023, accusing it of copyright infringement for training its AI system on lyrics from at least 500 songs from artists such as Katy Perry, the Rolling Stones and Beyoncé
GIBBI View: I think that the best is that AI companies and media/music companies can make deal/agreement to let that AI companies can train their LLMs and media/music companies can earn a money from this
México Unveils New Tarrifs That Affect Shein & Temu Firstly (SCMP)
Mexico’s tax authority SAT issued new tariffs on Tuesday, which it said will strengthen the surveillance of goods from Asia, a measure that could impact popular online retailers like Shein and Temu
Goods that enter Mexico via courier companies originating from countries that do not have an international treaty with Mexico will be subject to a duty of 19 per cent
Mexico does not have an international treaty with China, where Shein and Temu are based
GIBBI View: Remember that yesterday I wrote here that México has delayed cruise ship tax, and exempts wheat from tariffs, so this another call that U.S. made to México to do to avoid any China’s product can enter to U.S.
Soccer Star Honda’s Venture Capital AI Fund Raises $98 Million (BNN Bloomberg)
A venture-capital fund headed by former Japanese national soccer team player Keisuke Honda has raised about ¥15.3 billion ($98 million)
Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corp., Nomura Holdings Inc. and SBI Holdings Inc. are among at least 20 companies that invested in Honda’s X&KSK Fund, according to the document. SBI Holdings and SBI Shinsei Bank Ltd. have parked a combined ¥2 billion in the fund
Honda, who scored goals in three World Cups in a row and played for CSKA Moscow and AC Milan, is also active in investing, founding Dreamers VC with American actor Will Smith. His goal is to help create a so-called decacorn in Japan
GIBBI View: Remember that last year, especially in the last month of the year, I wrote here several news that athletes like Lebron James, Derek, Jeter, Patrick Mahomes, and others, started to invest their money; I’ve predicted that in 5 years from now will have several athletes with a wealth of more than $1 billion; I remember that Honda played at Tuzos one year (2017-2018) because he wanted to play FIFA World Club Cup in that year
Car-Rental Startup Turo’s Safety Team Cuts Vacations Short After Deadly Attacks (BNN Bloomberg)
Some workers on car-rental startup Turo Inc.’s trust and safety team have interrupted vacations to monitor and respond to the aftermath of deadly attacks in Las Vegas and New Orleans
The incidents are also creating a public relations setback for San Francisco-based Turo, which has had aspirations to sell shares in an initial public offering, and prompted the company to defend its procedures for vetting customers
Turo, which launched as RelayRides in 2010, uses a proprietary algorithm to screen drivers for risks and calculate appropriate fees. The Turo Risk Score, which has been in use since 2020, evaluates 50 data points from each driver to determine fees and will be continuously refined with further trips
GIBBI View: Remember that I’m working in make that my business idea, GIBBI CarSharing, can become a startup, so basically Turo is my competition and I’m seeing the potential problems that I could face and see how I can handle them
